Google Earth Outreach initiative rocks

Filed under: Tech — Brij @ 1:34 pm

We all know that seeing is believing. Google Earth proved that one more time by rolling out a public benefit group  . This non profit initiative can be used:

to capture the work you’re doing, the people you’re helping, the challenges you face and the change you’re helping to enable – all in the visual context of the environment in which these stories take place

For example check this Declan Butler’s Avian Flu Outbreaks as shown on Google Earth –

There are plenty of case studies to learn from. Webware post has more details on how to engage with the Google Earth team:

Organizations can now apply for grants for the Google Earth Pro program, which normally costs $400 per person per year, as well as technical support for its Keyhole Markup Language..

Very cool.
